  1. When it starts giving it's own opinion about the story rather than just reporting the facts.

    Or, just reporting one part of the story that agrees with the news stations own opinion in order to create a sensational non-story. If you make people angry, you get the most press.


  2. When they don't adequately research a topic and check and verify their sources.  It's bad journalism to take press conference materials and publish them as news without any analysis.

  3. I don't think the media goes to far in its reporting. I do believe that they are biased in many environment/resource stories as they normally only tell one side of the story and do not always get all the facts.
