When does the next hockey season start?

i just started watching hockey, and i was bummed it was the end of the season. (I dont know much about hockey as i live in England)

can anyone tell me when the season starts?

in october, the schedule hasn't been released yet but when it does, we will get an exact date

the beginning of october you can probabbly find the schedule when its realesed in late august

Preseason starts in september, but not all preseason games are televised... regular season starst in october...mainly october 2nd... at least for the wings lately

The regular season starts in early October.  The 2008 season started on October 3rd (not counting the London games), so you can assume the 2009 season will start around then.  You can check http://www.nhl.com in a few months when they release the schedule.

its probablly gonna be around the 5th-7th of october but there is a game in Europe which officially starts the season off i think there will be at least and that hould be around the 29th of september or so.

The beginning of October, the schedule for next season hasn't been released yet though so keep checking NHL.com. Great to see the NHL is expanding worldwide.

Usually the first Wednesday in October. Pre-season starts September 1st. Go to www.nhl.com, they will post the 08' 09' season schedule probably middle to late July.
