Not for several more billion years. And for all the people below me claiming 2012, please stop spreading that idiotic notion around. 2012 was the date the Mayans' (an ancient, irrelevant civilization) ended. What does that have to do with the world ending? Answer: absolutely, positively, NOTHING.

Be more concerned about when humankind destroys the world, not the other way around!  Only humans can remove entire mountains, drain rivers and lakes to dust, fill in once thriving wetlands and seacoasts, in short, we can do anything which will kill off all of the indigenous plants and animals!  WE are the danger that can and may destroy the earth as we know it!
