My baby is 9 months. She utters mama and dada in a babbling way, never looking at us and calling us MAMA or DADA. When will she make the association that I am her mama and she will look at me and call me that? :)

  1. Mine was at 7 1/2 months. All the little old ladies said she couldn't possibly mean me, and was just babbling. Of course these little old ladies had never met my daughter before. She was definately using it for meaning.

  2. My daughter is 10.5mnths and she says mama and dada but doesnt look at us when saying it...She can shout of me but wont look at me or call me direct to my face. Im not sure when this happens i wouldnt worry thou

  3. my son was saying 'mumumumum...' at 9mths old, and he started trying to get my attention this way.

  4. Emma started babbling mama at six months.  Just recently, nine months, she started looking at me and says it.
