  1. I'm glad you did not commit the same mistake as most others by asking when do "perceptions" decieve you, because they don't.

    The mind actually does not decieve you--ever--when you are mentally "balanced." Illness can cause halucinations, illusions, etc. Have you ever seen someone go off the "manic deep end?" I have. They took him away in a straight jacket, but everything turned out ok, he just needed some drugs for the rest of his life.

    Otherwise, the only time you might think you are deceived by your own mind is when you make a choice of logic that is not valid. It might be because you didn't understand a specific rule of logic, or it might because you were missing some necessary data.

    But if your mind is working properly, i.e., medically soundly, then it never decieves you. You merely have made a mistake of logic or out of ignorance.
