Question:

When doing a search, I get routed to undesirable sites?

When I am searching the internet, I type in the item I am looking for and the the results pop up. When I click on a result, I get redirected to another search engine or basically a undesirable site. Then I can't click back and have to X out my page and reopen internet explorer and start all over again. The only way I can get to where I want to go without being automatically redirected to a undesirable place is to copy and paste the address of the place I want to go into my address bar. How do I stop this from happening. I have norton anti everything and am searching from yahoo page. Thanks

  1. Sounds like you have caught a bug of some sort.  I would call technical support.  Do you have free tech support?  Call them.  They have talked me through some doozies!  (gotta put up with hours of sitting around glued to the computer, the telephone and some guy who speaks with a really thick accent, sometimes, but it sure helps!)

  2. sounds like someone has placed some spyware on your computer. that use to happen to me too.

download the free version of http://www.ccleaner.com

after the download, open it up and inside there click on "windows".

then put checks next to the boxes on the left.

then click on the "cleanup" feature on the right side.

then re-boot your computer and try your internet search again.

                                      hope this helps, good luck.
