When doing a spousal visa who is more responsible in the money side.?

my partner lives in italy and doesnt have much savings mayb 1000 euro i live in uk and have 4500 savings and full time job and rent in a shared house with all bills included 400 pcm my question is who is more responsible for finances is it me or my partner or do they calculate how much money we have to gether to support ourselves overall with recourse to public funds?

  1. As the sponsor, you would need to be more responsible for the money side of things if you are applying for a 2 year visa for the UK.

  2. Why would you need a spouse visa if he lives in Italy a EU country and you do too? He can live/work in the UK already.

    With spouse visas, as long as you can show you can support yourselves financially you are fine.

    I think financial you will be fine, but when I came here on a spouse visa they were really funny about living arrangements, they prefer if you rent your own place together rather than living with family/ share house.

  3. have already answered this question but wanted to give you some advice. Include as much information as possible - includng photos, letters from your families supporting your relationships, any savings, emails etc etc etc. It is really important that you can prove your relationship is real. if you have only been together a short time or don't have much evidence, I would suggest putting off applying for the visa until you do.
