  1. I don't care what anyone says squats are bad for you. Not to mention squats are for your legs but the main muscle being worked is your butt. If you wanna work out your legs man just run, it's the easiest and most productive way.

  2. 15 is a bit early to go to the gym but if your doing weighted upperbody exercises then YES you should be doing weighted lowerbody too.

don't neglect your legs. your quads and hamstrings are very important.

you can't get jacked without squats and deadlifts.

i would suggest just doing regular upper body exercises for some more time. no weight, just body weight like pull ups, pushups, underhand pullups and close grip pushups.

if you are going to go to the gym and bench and stuff then you have to work your legs too.

you won't hurt your knees if you start slowly and don't overload on the weights. do regular two legged squats with weights. 1 legged calf raises are good if you hold a barbell in your hand for extra weight.

don't forget deadlifts and lunges for your hamstrings.

if i didn't understand you question and you said that you DON'T do upperbody weighted then don't do any weights on your legs either.

two legged quats like 3 sets of 20 free weight are good.

    jump lunges for the hamstrings

and one legged calf raises. (all free weight)

    goodluck
