  1. run

  2. For a large file like Photoshop CS3, it would be best to save the file then double-click it to start the installation.

However, "Run" and "Save" will work exactly the same. You can elect to "run" the download (which will still download the file to a temporary folder, then start the installation by itself) or "save" (in which case you double-click it to start the installation, like I said above.)

    Hope that helps you.

  3. If you save it, you then goto downloads folder and open and run it from your computer, it will save you the time going back to the website if you want to re-install the program as the file is saved in downloads folder.

  4. you have to pick run

  5. Usually it doesn't matter.  If you click "Run", the file is saved to a temp directory.  Occasionally, you may experience problems running things from temp directories, in which case, you will want to either move it from the temp directory to your desktop (or anywhere you like) or redownload the program and save it somewhere else.  Most of the time, it doesn't matter though since you'll probably just delete the installer when you are done with it anyway.

  6. Best choose RUN and it will be saved to a temporary file on your computer.

  7. depends what program it is

if u click save it saves the original run file

if u click run it automatically starts it

  8. It's good practise to choose 'Save' when downloading, and then running an anti-virus scan upon the file, when it's completed.  This ensures that you're not getting an infection embedding itself automatically from running, as even professional sites can get hacked and malicious stuff getting downloaded.

There's also the threat now of hijacking away from the official sites, to lookalikes, where you may think you're in safe hands.  So for these reasons it is great to develop the habit of always saving downloads and checking them for issues first.

Hope this helps. Good luck!  Rob
