When draining the fluid out of the radiator, u dont get all of the fluid out right?

  1. When draining the radiator, you'll get about 2/3 of the total cooling system capacity out. However, The block will not drain past about 1/2 way down and the heater core will still retain most of the coolant in it.


  2. No but you do get most of it. still some left in the engine block

  3. Some will be in the heater core, some will be in the nooks and cranneys of the block.  

  4. best way to get all the fluid out is unhook the top radiator hose, insert a waterhose into the opening of the radiator, turn the car on and let it cuirculate the fresh water through the block until the water comming out of the unhooked hose becomes clear.
