  1. Trust me they will not to try to drink any fluid before the race. Drivers hate red flag cause that make them wait longer. Most drivers will go in there race suit if they have to go. Do you ever see or wonder why as soon the driver get out of the car he always pour drink over them self, cause he's covering up the PEE SPOT.

  2. Easy. In their drivers suits.

  3. having family in the buisness and growing up watching this stuff i know that they wear a cathader thing like they use in the hospital so they actually end up peeing in a bag.

  4. Wedge is right they use a type of catheter that slips on like a condom. There is a small tank under the drivers seat that collects the urine. There is a lever that operates a dump valve on the right side of the seat. The driver can only release the dump valve under caution and after pulling down to the apron of the track. There is a switch on the lever of the dump valve that lets Nascar know when they open it!!!

    Hope that helps!!!

    Peace!!

  5. They have "Bladders" in their suits that are made for this.  I have a friend that works with Nascar and I actually asked him that question.

  6. That's gross. But to answer your question: They just hold it.

  7. Godsmack's Got it!

Makes more sense than any of the answers I have ever read, and he is so right.  This question is asked a zillion times!

  8. Adrenaline is a funny thing. It causes your body to NOT need to do that stuff at times, like during an emergency. Your kidneys just kinda slow down while your heart and brain get the most of the blood, causing your kidneys to not fill the bladder as quickly at that moment. I am sure they go before the race also, however, with the boring *** races we've been having, they probably are gonna have to pee alot more, If they stay awake.

  9. Why do people care about other peoples urination?  Is that the best question you could come up with?

As for the people above that say they wear a cathader, well, they are just idiots.  They do not wear cathaders and if Steffies family was really in the business she would know that.  She lied to you twice in her answer.

  10. They pee their pants. Some guys wear diapers but most just go when they have to.

The cars are such a hot environment that they are usually dehydrated though and don't need to go.

  11. Well Dale Jr. peed his pants once and then admitted it on national TV.  Tony Stewart will NEVER let him live that one down.

Truthfully....no one has ever got out of a race car to run to the boys room so I am assuming that they hold it in.

  12. CONGRATULATIONS!!!,  You win the grand prize. You are the  One Millionth  person to ask this question.

What would you do in their situation, you answer that, and you got the answer.

  13. Most don't have to go....it's pretty rare that they actually "pee in their pants".  And no, that is NOT why they pour a bottle of water down their fire suits!

The reason they don't have to go and the reason for the water down the fire suit is because it is HOT in that car!  They said the other day it was 140 on the track, and while they do have air coolers, it's not like an air conditioner in our cars!  It is HOT IN THERE!  And sometimes, when they have electrical problems they have to even turn off that air cooler.

They get very deydrated...therefore not having to pee!  Plus, think about it - can't you sit at your desk at work - or whatever you do at work - and go 4 hours??  It's not a huge deal.

To the person who said that Tony Stewart will never let Junior live down the "pee incident", well I am pretty sure that Tony was really sick one week with the stomach flu and he actually made a real mess during the race.  He ran from the mics immediately to his RV, showered and changed and then came out for interviews.  I might have the details a bit off, but from what I have read, that's the gist of it.  So I doubt he is making any jokes to Junior...but maybe that's just me, cause I know I wouldn't be in that situation!

    ***Edited to add***

Really, they wear catheters?  Like a regular one?  I find that very hard to believe, but I guess it's possible.  They are VERY UNCOMFORTABLE for women, and I can only imagine how PAINFUL they are for men!  I just can't imagine these guys getting a hose fed up their "member" into their bladder every single week for 36 weeks a year, year after year!  Have any men here ever had a catheter, and would you admit it to tell us if you think these guys are doing that voluntarily???  LOL!!  Like I said, you can't hold it for 4 or 5 hours...with the heat and everything???

    ***EDITED TO ADD***

Thanks, Wedge!  I kept checking back here to see if anyone said anything...because I just KNEW these guys weren't having a Foley catheter fed up their "member" each and every week in order to deal with a SLIGHT POSSIBILITY of having to "go"...HA!  Can you even imagine!!  Cause exactly like you said - mine is 2-3 inches and I know how uncomfortable it is...I was in kidney failure about 9 months ago and had one for 3 days - I BEGGED every single nurse that walked in my room to take it out.  I told them I didn't care what happened to me I just wanted it OUT!  Though I will have to say, it was so nice not having to get up - ever!  hehe!  But I just KNEW there was no man on earth who would do that 36 times a year - and 72 if they run Nationwide - for a "just in case"...NO WAY!  SO thanks for clearing that up  :-)  And thanks for spelling my name correctly, too...

  14. Thank you for asking this question for the millionth time.

  15. yeah ive seen this question alot but thats allright.... first anwser was right, they just go on themself if they have to. I remember in an interview with jr they asked if he had ever pead himself before and he said only once or twice....lol, nasty to.

  16. Will ppl stop askin this stupid question

  17. why does everyone keep asking this question? Is it really that important to ya? cause I think it's kind of gross to sit and think about it but hey who am I? to each their own!!

  18. cornudog,  you're thinking an indwelling or foley catheter, and yes it is uncomfortable for a male(think about it the female urethra's 2-3 inches a male's is 7-8). However they do make a catheter for males that just slides on like a condom, aka a condom or Texas catheter, which uses the same tubing and bag as a foley. Now to answer this original question, if they have to go they go, highly unlikely since they're dehydrated, but still.
