The road that I am asking about caters to 2 way traffic and has cars parked on both sides of the curb; however, the road has no painted line in the middle.... should you still keep to the right?

  1. Well I'm not old enough to drive yet however I would say yes, it's a good idea to keep to the right even when there is no line.

  2. Yes,  absolutely.   That is where other drivers,  cyclists,  and pedestrians would be looking for you to be,  and to return to if someone approached.   But this does not mean you have to barely miss cars parked on that side,  leave yourself room in case someone opens a door or steps out from between cars.

  3. YES...........if you are driving on a two way street (no signs indicating otherwise- one way, or do not enter signs), then you should drive to the right of the center, line or no line. On many residential streets, there are no lines. You can be charged if you drive along the wrong side of the roadway, or if you park on the wrong side facing the wrong direction.

If you are always driving to the right of the center, then if someone makes a wide right turn for example, they would be less likely to hit you, right?

You are also being more predictable to other road users by driving on the "normal" side, or the "right" side of the roadway.

  4. Yes, stay to the right hand side.

It is the law for roads without a divider or lane lines.

  5. Of course - use common sense.

  6. Yes as long as you live in the U.S........stay to the right.
