When driving in the rain is better to drive in the car tire marks ahead of you?

idk it just makes sense....ur having to drive on less water.....

  1. It does help with the control of the vehicle and lessens hydroplaning of the vehicles.


  2. Depending on how much is on the road, and of course as long as you aren't too close to the one in front of you!

  3. not really the besst idea because the road is more slick and you have a better chancce of hydroplaning

Remember the three second rule - do not follow are car unless it s 2-3 seconds ahead - when it it is raining your following distance should be increased.  Although it makes sense to drive on the tire marks ahead, it does not work like that.  In order to drive in the tire marks you would have to follow at a close distance increasing the likely hood that you would get into an accident.  Also, the makers of the tires on your vehicle designed them with threading that would enable you to create your own tire marks with out wanting to use someone elses.

  5. I would say yes. There is less water to reduce the friction that causes your brakes to stop your car. As long as the tire marks ahead of you aren't leading off into a fiery bunch of trees, I'd say it's a safe bet.
