So i was driving on the highway the last couple of weeks and it just doesnt feel 'safe.' my car moves dramatically when i go up to 60. its like its hydroplaning when theres no rain. one time when i was on the right lane, my car wanted to go off the lane but i controlled it to stay on my line. and yes i know it does happen when trucks go past you. but its different. even wen im on the highway by myself it's like i have very little control.

i drive a honda accord 2001 ex. an automatic. so yeah. if people want to know. when i drove my parents chevy venture its fine!

  1. tires, sway bar, alignment, struts one or more could be the culprit.

  2. All of the above could be true, but this sounds like worn tie rod ends to me -- not very safe. At any rate, whenever something is wrong with the front end and/or handling of your car, get it checked as soon as possible, for obvious reasons!

    Good luck & be safe.

  3. Make sure your tire pressure is correct on all 4 tires. The correct pressure is on the inside of the drivers side door jam for the front and rear. Many people don't know that the tire pressure on the tire isn't what they should be set at, but the max they can be set at. If one is low it could have a hole; fill it and recheck it in a day or so to see if it didn't lose any pressure. I would use a digital pressure gauge so you aren't guessing. If they all check out as good, then you could need an alignment or the tires balanced or even some of the components under the front in the steering and suspension area could be worn out and causing the drifting. Just check those things and it should help you to come to a conclusion of what the problem could be. Hope this helps and Good luck.

  4. Go have your tires checked.... That could do alot.

Another thing you should have done is an alignment,... After those two are dont your should be fine

  5. I would say you have a tire problem

  6. 1. tires need to be balanced and rotated.

    2. tires are bad.

    3. alignment is off.

    4. problems with suspension.

    5. rim could be bad as well.

  7. If there's nothing wrong with you, something is with your car!

  8. first id sayyou have problems with suspension or tires.... when a car wanders or wont track most offen its the tire bad or you have a part in the front end bad giving slack
