When elections don't work will it ever come time for another revolution?

Or will Americans just always take it. How would you choose a side. or would you even care who's running the contry?(sort of a paranoid question but I had to ask)

Let me guess - You have realized the Democrat party will field a candidate for President who cannot possibly win the election.  That the choice will be either Clinton or Obama is proof the Democrat party has been taken over by leftist political extremists who are completely out of touch with the rest of America.

Then, when the Democrats fail (because they can't win the election) to replace the USA with the Democratic People's Republic of Amerika YOU will want a "revolution".

A bit paranoid, yes, but more misguided. We do not live in a democracy, we live in a Federalist Republic - one with voted representatives. If people cared more about who was representing their views rather than their style or what cool celebrities think, we would not be having this discussion. The system is not broken or dysfunctional, people are. People care more about American Idol than American Politics - that's why we fall victim to career politicians with ties to corporations and lobbyists. If people did their research into something as important as the Presidential Election, we would have different candidates running right now, as opposed to who the media has chosen.

Big Sky has the right answer here, we the people are the problem, it is our responsibility to hold our representative accountable. Our congress has 18% approval rating yet we keep re-electing them and falling pret to the 2 party corruption., most here say they want change but they do not uinderstand they  are supporting more of the same.

vote libertarian if you really want change, but i dont think you  can handle it.

If elections are occurring then revolutionaries need to be killed.  I don't see anything that would stop elections from happening.

I agree. If democracy fails to deliver the goods, the people may lose patience with the system. Chances of a despot in such a scenario are bright. But, in a country like America, it is next to impossible. They have a strong democratic tradition. They know the value of freedom and liberty. They fought and shed blood for attaining freedom and liberty.
