Would having ADD and/or an anxiety disorder affect your chances of being accepted?

  1. It probably would but it depends on how severe your case is.


  2. You will have to provide ALL medical documents relating to treating it to MEPS doctor during your physical. Based on that, they will decide whether you can join or not. I believe having anxiety might only disqualify you from few jobs like flying, bomb squad, and such. Regarding ADD, you might want to check with recruiter.

  3. Yes. The Air Force is very picky. One must be cool and calm at all times.

  4. Please talk to a recruiter.  I commissioned one of our cadets last week but I needed a waiver from SG.  You may or may not qualify for a waiver based on your circumstances.  A recruiter can evaluate your situation and give you the best information.
