  1. May 16, 1607.  The Spanish were well on their way to committing genocide on the native population by this time & had killed an estimated 2 million native Americans by the time Jamestown was established by the English.

    Some of the marginally educated give the Spanish too much credit for colonization of the Americas... they eventually had to import English immigrants to the Southwest to fight the Commanche in Texas, due to their heavy handed tactics.


  2. Nearly 50 YEARS AFTER the Spanish first settled a colony in the Southwest... it's that idiotic English Centric history which is WRONG... but most AmeriKans don't know it.

    Settlers landed 05/14/1607.

    First General Assembly was held 06/30/1619.
