When filling out forms on-line - job application - it asks for a signature. How is a signature possible?

Some places offer the option to mail the application in, however, most prefer it emailed instead. How can a signature be done if everything is done electronically?

Most forms offer a checkbox that constitutes your "e-signature"--in other words it stands for your signature.  Look for this on the forms.

I think it would be okay to email whoever runs the website (what service) or the employer to find out how to digitally "sign" your application, though.
