Many station with their safe guards in place are still having problems with theft and drive offs (people who do not pay or can not pay).

Is mob rule in the streets soon to follow here in America. Are we next? What can you and I do together to stop it if it happens here?

Trust me I'm not talking about the usual stuff like car pooling and don't drive so much or far.

What are we going to do when we can't even afford to even go to work like some people can't right now.

Its never going to be the same and I'm an optimist.

What do you think will happen when gasoline reaches that high here?

What is your best option for America?

God bless us all!

  1. we boycott the gas stations and take the bus,buy a monthly bus pass and use it and save the money you would have spent on gas.

  2. Well, for one thing, in the beginning, there will be looting, stealing, siphoning...Oh yeah, right. They have already started that. There will be a lot of problems at first because of the fact that people are not willing to get together and come up with a solution. The stealing will be first. But I think that people will overcome this and start thinking of better ways of getting around. Maybe they will carpool. Maybe they will live closer to there jobs. Maybe there will be in the not-so-distant future a society where housing is right above the jobs they already work at...This is just a thought. More likely sci-fi. But for now just a thought.

I am sure that bus transportation and riding the rails will become more popular in the future. And once the hybrids become more mainstream, prices of these cars will start to drop so that the average Joe will be able to afford them. I hope.

Maybe they will start coming out with vehicles powered by hydrogen. I know they already have them in the trial stage and once they get all the bugs out they will be on the showroom floors also. What better source of energy than hydrogen? It is replenish-able and available. It just has to be harnessed in a safe manner.

  3. Well, I'm not trying to sound pretentious, but foreign countries seem to be dealing with it well. I lived in Italy when I was two. Gas was already 3.50 dollars a gallon, and that was sixteen years ago for me! They're going to have to start getting better public transporation or underground subways or something. Ethanol is a crappy gas. For one thing, it won't last as long, and for another, I think it would be just as expensive as gas. My best option for America is transportation like what Europe offers. Someone is going to have to do something eventually. Or, like my physics teacher said, they're going to have to start releasing those gas efficient cars. Those cars can get 240 miles per gallon! But they won't release them because of the gas company and their gluttony for money. I'm an optimist as well. I'm not too worried. America's pretty good at regulating itself.

  4. I stopped at a site

to learn how to pay 1940 prices for my gas

    http://www.angelfire.com/fl5/pix622/x/Bl...

bought it - at 4:00 p.m. and have the info already

    It is just too ingenious

    and it will work

  5. Yeah its pretty sad how ridiculous gas is. It costed me $85 to fill my tank the other day. You need 2 full time jobs just to keep up with vehicle costs now a days!

  6. For starters, I predict this will be the year of motorcycles, scooters, bicycles, and walking.

Here is another way to reduce your consumption of gas.

Type in "Hypermiler" in either Google, or on YouTube.  Shows many ways to drive smoother to squeeze out more miles per gallon.  After watching a few videos and reading a few articles, I am a lot more cognizant of how I drive.  I have seen about a 3 mpg decrease in my gas mileage on my motorcycle on one tank of gas alone.  There are some techniques I will stay away from, one being extreme drafting.  Also, if more people really paid attention to their driving, accidents would be greatly reduced.

First URL below is of a guy with a three year mpg average of 90 plus mpg.

Second is of an extreme Hypermiler that can squeeze up to 59 mpg out of a standard Honda Accord.

Again, many of the techniques are extreme, but with skill (sadly lacking in soooo many drivers) and patience, most people can improve their gas mileage by just being a smoother driver.

  7. Don't worry. Desperation breeds innovation! h**l, in india they'e invented an air powered scooter.
