When getting a small business license , when do i have to file a ficticious business name ad ,?

i want to get my business license tomorrow , when does the ad have to be posted in the local news paper for the ficticious name ?can i post it the same day i purchase the license ?

Business licenses are usually  only required when you have a business within city limits but not in county jurisdistricts. If you used your own name for the business, the checks you recieved would have your name on it, and you would deposit it in your checking account no problem you would not need to do the ficticious name stuff,the bank and tax man knows who u are.BUT, if you had a made up name, the bank and irs would not know who is depositing these checks.that is why you need to declare your true identity,also in case you committed fraud and cheated people or caused injury, they know who to either arrest and or sue!!

Not sure what you are asking?  You can go to the court house and do a ficticious name lookup, file the paperwork and you are set.  The information becomes public record and will be put in the business section of the paper when they publish public records.
