  1. sounds like everyone misunderstood your question....your thinking color. the outline hurts the worst and the process is different. The outline is done with less needles, as it needs to be thinner, and when they color it in, there is more needles on the gun, which spreads out the area they are tattooing, putting less pressure on one specific area, resulting in less pain. honestly i don't think the color hurt one bit. all i felt was the vibrations from the gun. but so and so is right, you will need an outline either way, so your not going to find a pain free tattoo.

  2. When getting a tattoo with or with out color its the same needle gun the used. The color you choose has no effect on the pain of getting a tattoo.

  3. No color? As in just black, with shading?

It doesn't matter what kind of ink they use. The method for getting it under your skin is still the same.

Lots of colors may mean a longer tattooing period though.

  4. usually a color tattoo still has black outline and the outline is the part that hurts so it doesnt matter either way. usually an artist will only do a color tattoo without a black outline if it is fairly small or if its a larger piece, they still do an outline in a darker color so in that case the color outline still hurts. outlines hurt because they are usually only one, thicker, needle. shading hurts less because its usually done with 5-7 thinner needles.

  5. What do you mean no color.  Tattoos hurt.  Period.  It's bearable though!

  6. All tattoos are painful, colors, well this is just more time under the gun. Also, the painful areas are on the inside parts of the body.

  7. No pain? its a needle thats going into your skin... its gonna hurt one way or another its just the whole process on how much detail your gonna get done... color=longer time= more pain to exist...

but honestly once the tattoo starts its not really a pain that is unbearable... its not bad at all

  8. theyre the same? a needle is a needle...

  9. the process is the same for color and what I'm assuming you mean to be "black"

it's still thousands of needle pokes.....

there is a difference in pain between outlines and shading (most of the time)

outlines hurting more than shading in general

  10. I have one tattoo on my ankle that has no black outline, it's just colour and it hardly hurt at all. Pain depends on where the tattoo is and individual pain threshold, as well.

  11. "no pain"... !!!! hahahahahahaha!

ahem,,,, it's a tattoo, not a marker or paint, .. so, it's all relative.

  12. uhhh, its a TATTOO they both have pain. color is more though.

  13. It is still needles poking into your skin over and over again. Maybe what you mean is does shading or outlining hurt more. Shading hurts more for most people.
