  1. Yes it hurts. But the pain afterwards is much worse. Like the next day it's so swollen and you can't eat. It also really damages the enamel on your teeth. It's not worth the pain just to fit in. You'll get passed this phase just as I have. Buy your mom dinner instead.

  2. All I felt was the pressure from the surgical tongs that they put on to hold your tongue while they line up where your vein is and the webbing under your tongue - they can't pierce through that either - they make you gargle listerine for three solid minutes before you can get your tongue pierced too. I didn't even feel the piercing. I did however druel profusely and had some bleeding and a lot of pain and swelling in my tongue about fifteen minutes after it was done, the swelling and pain goes away in about three days, if it takes longer than that you probably have an infection. You have to gargle with Listerine after everytime you eat and before you go to bed and when you get up, I even used a q-tip once a day and cleaned the barbell with Hydrogen Peroxide

  3. my hub has it and he didnt ever mention it hurt but i imagine having a large long needle put through your tongue doesnt feel good.

  4. no it does not hurt when you get it done...BUT it will about three hours later....trust me I know...just keep ice in your mouth to help with swelling and pain...and take tylenol

  5. Tongue piercing is very dangerous and can cause speech defects.

  6. it's painful and risky.  If your tongue get's infected, you just introduced an infection to the rest of your body.  The T is quite vascular too.  It's important to taste, and has other  uses too.

Why risk the use of such an important part of the body for something that really won't be seen unless you shoot your mouth off.

It hurts.  There, your question is answered.  But not without some insight from me :)

...and it hurts when they don't numb it :) of course.

  7. No it doesn't hurt getting it done but it is very sore afterwards.  Just had it done with some friends.  They put numbing gel on it first and the tongue is mostly grissle in the center anyway.

  8. The piercing its self if not bad, its soo quick you just feel pressure. However.. the swelling and healing is by far the worst part.
