i know this is asked a lot but if had discharge for almost two years but im not supposed to get my period for 6 to 12 months. im 13 5'1 77 pounds not extremly active but active. its not that i want it im just wondering.

If you are as underweight as you are, you're not going to get it for a while. You have to be at a normal weight of 100-110 pounds for your period to start correctly..

Underweight people don't get their period often, because they don't have enough body weight to lose that amount of blood. You need to be at a healthy weight, and trust me you won't be fat.

Well, first how do you know that you are going to get it in 6-12 months?  No one can predict when a period will start.

Secondly, you are underweight.  You need to be at least 100lbs.  If your body doesn't think it can support a pregnancy, you won't get your period.

You are also only 13.  Some girls don't get their periods until they are 16 or older.  If you don't get it by 16, then see a doctor, until then don't worry about it.

Okay,I had discharge for a few years before I started so that doesn't matter.You need to gain weight for your body to even think of having a period.I knew girl who had an eating disorder and has never had a period(she's in her mid 20's).Pubic hair is a good indication of when your period will start although I'm not sure weather you have to have a lot to start your periods.But it seems your body might not be ready to start your periods,just wait it will come when it's ready.

I started my cycle at 11 years of age. My niece started at 10, and my sister started at 13. It varies with every femle. When you turn 15 and still have not had one... make a visit to a gynecologist. Until then, don't panic... enjoy it ;)
