When going into the nursing field, are you required to get certain vaccines or boosters?

Hepatitis - a series of 3 shots

and TB skin test

They should test your immunity level for all you childhood vaccines and may suggest a booster.

You will need to get a tb test, a hep. series, and you will need to have your mmr series completed.  They also may have you get vaccinated for preventative things such as the flu, but even if they don't I would highly recommend doing getting them due to the nature of the job.
