  1. It dosen't really matter.  They will taste the same.


  2. When you leave the stem on they continue to ripen. So I do. If the tomato is already ripe I take it off so it slows the ripening process.

  3. I leave the small stem on, just in case the skin gets

    opened at that point, then a pest may get in.
