  1. June 28, 2007:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Barack Obama (D-IL) and Richard Lugar (R-IN) today announced that the Senate Appropriations Committee accepted their request to provide funding to implement the Lugar-Obama nonproliferation initiative. The Appropriations Committee expressed support for the initiative and provided $48 million for Lugar-Obama, $36 million for programs to destroy heavy conventional weapons, $10 million for efforts to intercept weapons and materials of mass destruction, and $2 million for rapid response to proliferation detection and interdiction emergencies. This is the culmination of an 18 month effort to authorize and fund the Lugar-Obama initiative.

  2. NEVER..... However he don't highlight those points in his speeches because his sheep's wouldn't like it.

  3. I guess that could be a kinder way to explain his flip-flops.

  4. Obama has voted with his fellow democrats 97% of the time.  When he's actually there to vote.

  5. There was probably some time when they did one of those ceremonial only type votes to honor someone or other on their birthday.  I can't be certain that Obama voted with the Republicans in any of these circumstances.  It is very possible he voted "present" instead.

  6. On his first day on the floor...a lot of republicans and dems said that about him

  7. He spoke about it, but again... just hot air like his speeches.

  8. With party McCain 88.3%  Obama 96%

See for yourself. I put this in a pivot table and it shows

    1183 votes. 300 not voting

    840 with party

41 against the party. 19 of these were with the GOP.

Which means 22 he went against both parties.

I don't know how many times he asked to change is vote for hitting the wrong button.

This link show 90% with party, not counting no votes.

  9. He hasn't

  10. All to often for my liking.  I'll bet that even though McSame supported Bush 90% of the time, Obama probably supported Bush 60% or more of the time, and that includes the unfortunate support of the war budget, the Patriot Act, and the domestic surveillance law.

  11. NEVER.  He voted  with McCain several times, because McCain was the one to reach across the isle.

  12. He doesn't.  Obama is only hoping to woo the Dems.  I think he realizes that snagging GOP supporters is a long shot.
