Question:

When have you all felt the baby move?

I remember being about 18 weeks with my first baby when I felt her move for the first time. I cannot for the life of me remember when I started feeling my second baby. I know with each subsequent pregnancy women usually feel the first movements earlier. I am 14 weeks, and I am pretty sure I just felt my baby twice in the last hour or so. I know that gas and fetal movement can feel a lot the same, but this did not feel like my usual gas bubbles. Has anyone felt the baby this early?

  1. As a third-time mom, you recognize the feeling much more quickly now.  I'm sure you've felt your little angel move.

The first time I felt my first child, I thought I'd dropped mashed potatoes on my belly!

  2. I have had several friends who felt the other pregnancies at 14 weeks and one at 13 weeks

    I could be possible

  3. With my first baby I didn't feel him move till 16 weeks but with my youngest son I felt him move @ 12 weeks (I thought I was crazy) My DR said I felt him soo much earlier because I knew what it felt like. I am sure you are feeling the baby move (one of the greatest feelings of pregnancy!!!) Good luck

  4. Sure.  I felt mine at 12 weeks, but I was one heck of a skinny lady then.

    All the best.

  5. i was 14 weeks the first time i felt my baby move. it only happened once in a while... but now its a lot more regular :)

  6. Sometimes you can feel the baby earlier the more pregnancies you have.  I felt quickening in my 2-5 pregnancies around 14 weeks.  Otherwise anywhere from 16-20 weeks is normal.  Most docs add 5 months to the date of quickening to confirm an accurate due date (though I don't think it's a reliable method).
