Question:

When having a miscarriage?

I know I asked this question yesterday but I am still wondering. about 6 yrs ago I had an etopic pregnancy and had my left tube removed. Well, Wednesday I found out I was pregnant. Thursday night I went to the ER with bad pain on my right side. The obgyn on call ruled out an etopic pregnancy (well for now). Friday morning bright and early went back to the ER with worst pain. My hCg levels dropped from 464 to 200 in like 6-8 hours. They said I was having a miscarriage. Well, if I am having a miscarriage WHY haven't I started bleeding yet? I'm really not looking forward to that point but I'm hoping I am not having another etopic pregnancy and they didn't catch it. If I don't start bleeding by Monday I am going to call the obgyn on call and see what she has to say. In a normal miscarriage when should I have started bleeding? Any help and advice is greatly appricated. Thank you!

  1. Sometimes it takes a couple weeks for your body to realize that the fetus is dead so it doesn't get rid of it right away.  I'm sorry.  I don't understand why you're having such bad pain on one side though.  Just cross your fingers and hope it's not ectopic.
