When hired as a receptionist for a medical clinic how much excel and word do I need to know?

  1. It depends.  You may not use excel or word there.  They may have a computer system that you enter in appointment times, payments, etc.  It also depends on what your duties are... will you only answer the phone, schedule appointments, do billing/invoices, filing, etc.  I think it will be that you will just follow whatever system they already have in place.  It shouldn't be too much to learn.  Best wishes on your new job!!
