When i'm driving, my car squeaks. do I need struts?

i hear squeaking from my front left tire or front end, i'm trying to see whats the problem. and it's not the leaf springs in the rear. I have a 2000 ford f-150

  1. grease your balljoints, check the pwr steering fluid level


  2. Sounds like your brake pads could be rubbing. When was the last time you had your brakes/rotors shaven or replaced?  

  3. My husband's car was squeaking really bad. It was very embarrassing for him. It turned out to be his brakes. He needed new brakes and he needed his rotors cleaned. Now when he is driving there is no more squeaking.

  5. check ball joints and tie rods to see if they need to be greased

    If you needed struts then you would notice the truck rides like a boat on water.  It could be time for new control arm bushings.
