When i'm working on a cruise ship do i need to pay tax and national insurance?

I'm going to work on a cruise ship on a 6 month contract, before I go do I need to set something up to pay tax and national insurance and how would i go about sorting this out?

In the UK by the way.

  4. You may be in the UK, but is the company running the cruise line? The answer will depend on whether they operate PAYE. If a foreign company they won't, and your earnings could be regarded as foreign income, depending on the time you spend in the UK  in the year. It also depends on what you have been/will be doing for the rest of the UK tax year (6th April to 5th April). If in doubt, contact your last tax office with all relevant information.
