  1. sounds like loose chain

when you are not accellerating, the chain wont be hitting anything..but when you get on it, the chain will start to clack around the trans case....its dangerous ,check and see if its loose.

  2. If you've had your back wheel off check to make sure all the spacer's are in right place.get a mate on the back to see if he can help pin point the problem by doing a bog lap around block

  3. Check clearence between rear tire and fender. Under hard acceleration the rear suspension may compress enough to allow the tire to rub. Also check to make sure chain gaurds are not rubbing. And make sure the alinement is true.

  4. maybe the rotor

  5. i have the same problem.... i've connected it to my disc brakes...

  6. Where does the sound come from, front-rear or center?  Does it change when you turn?  Does the noise change if you apply the brakes?  Does it happen all the time or does it fade as the bike warms up?

You will need to provide more info if you want some advise.

  7. possibilitys:

    1) Believe it or not, brakes rubbing on accel.

    2) Clutch on hard excel.

    3) Chain lagging or binding on excel.

    4) Tire rubbing on rear fendor on excel.

OK you can look for rub marks on items 3 and 4

you can test your breaks durring excel to see if it changes noise

maybe you can try pulling clucth in fast, if sound still there its not clutch, however just because it goes away wont gaurentee its not. Normally you can sit with breaks press and let clutch our and see how much it slips, but thats more a mechs touch. Also excessive heat can go along with clutch problems. try these, also try Vulcan website forums and as questions there, site below
