Question:

When i am barrel racing,My horse is turning off before my second drum what do i do?

i have been barrel racing for many years now and i have never came across this habit before my horse is super fast we sure can do a good barrel run but i dnt want to go to a rodeo and give him a slow run to stop this. Itwould be a waste of money and speed!!HELP!! i have tried almost everything

I'd walk the course with him a few times, then trot it, then a slow canter.  Take him the right way around the barrel until you're confident that he knows where he's supposed to go.  then you can go back to galloping.  If that doesn't work, use your leg to stop him from turning and keep a hold on the outside rein until after the barrel.  You're going to have to slow down and fix the problem before you can go back to galloping the barrels.  Don't enter him until you're confident that you've fixed the problem.
