When i am driving at night i have allot of trouble seeing the road?

When i am driving at night I have trouble seeing the freeway or residential streets. I used to think it was my old 1990 honda accord's headlight that they weren't bright enough, but that's not it even if i am driving a new 08 grand prix, I still have the same problem so i know its not the cars, Is the term called "night blindness" refer to my situation, I have always had good vision. I am 22 yrs old, I plant on seeing an ophthalmologist

A lot of people have trouble driving at night. I know you cannot see the road very well. I have a lot of trouble driving at night. Go to the eye dr and see if he can do something about it but I know a lot of people having problems with that.

i would also try eating vitamin a products because with the more vitamin a if helps night blindness. So vitamin a will increase your eye strength at night to were you can see in the dark.

Same thing with me, i thought it was my headlights as well, so i stuck to driving a suv which better visual but sucks on gas. I got glasses with anti glare coating on them which helps in daytime and night time but just barely cuz of the glare. I suggest u keep all your windows clean and look at the lines of the road.

I had the same exact problem :-)  True night blindness is pretty rare.  Turns out I didn't have nightblindness, I had astigmatism.  The doctor told me most people who have this first notice it at night, especially when trying to read road signs.  It's easily corrected with glasses or contacts - I have glasses and find I only really need them when driving at night.  Boy, what a difference!

My uncle has the same problem, he wears special glasses when he is driving at night. He says his vision is a lot better at night now and he can see the road.

You should see an eye doctor if this is a problem.I know that my mom wears glasses at night so she can see,as does a friend of mine for the same reason.I think glasses may help you to see better at night,not just for driving,but overall.
