  1. your phone company probably screwed up

  2. The filter splits the signals on your phone line, directing the internet to one side and the phone to the other. If you dont use the filter you will continue having that problem.

  3. DSL is basically a high frequency signal sent on your phone line.  Voice is a relatively low frequency signal sent over the same line.  The DSL filter separates these signals, so that the high frequency digital signal doesn't reach your phone (where you will perceive it as static) and the low frequency voice doesn't reach the DSL modem (where it will interfere with the digital signal and disable the modem).

Have your phone company come back and install the system properly!

  4. sounds like you never installed the DSL filters on your line...

the DSL filters came in the box with your dsl modem, they need to be connected to every phone on your line, when you installed the DSL software on your computer it showed you what you needed to do to set up your service...

if you no longer have the box that the DSL came in, you can go out and buy some DSL filters to put on all your phones, they plug into the phone jack, and your line cord connects to them..

  5. well that happenes for the house phone, if I'm using the microwave at the same time. But if its ur cell, it could be lack of service. Basicially in my case version sucks, cause I gdet like no serive at my school.
