When i buy something on half.com (ebay affiliate) using credit card is my number given to the seller?

I use half.com to buy my books.  They set it up so it's a secure connection, and they handle your credit card number, and then later they will transfer the money to the seller.  The seller only receives your name and address to ship the book.  They then get the money posted to their account by direct deposit.
