  1. Not on a land line, but on a cell phone bill yes.

  2. It will show on the bill only if it is a long distance call.  If it is local, it won't show.

    Don't disobey your mom though.

  3. Actually, yes it will show up.   Long distance phone numbers and the length of time are listed as part of the description of charges.  So if your parents are paying 10 cents a minute for long distance what they will see on their phone bill break down is something like this.

    ***-***-****            8:30 pm  ----- 8: 45 pm         $1.50

(Your friend's phone number, the time from pick up to hang up, maybe the total number of minutes and the cost of the call.)

Perhaps what you could do instead of going behind your parents back to call your friend, is negotiate a way in which you would pay for the call.   You might find out if it's just a matter of finances... in which case you would pay your mom say 3-5 dollars for that length of time to talk with your friend.  This you would do ahead of time and then be honorable enough to get off the phone when your money is up.

If it is another issue, then no amount of money would substitute for appropriate respect for your mom's rules.

  4. yes the phone bill from AT&T has all the calls made. to what number and how long. lets say a freind comes over and use the phone and no one knows who your friend called. your mom gets the bill and there is a 900 number. then you can tell the friend you need the fee for the 900 number and it is not free since they made the call from your mom's phone. and cell phones do this too.
