When i click on a file it comes up search so i have to right click the file and hit open?

basically what the title says but i need a way to get the clicking back onto the original left click to open instead of haveing to right click and hit open.

If you're having to choose the program to open the file, right-click and choose "Open file with..." and select the program you want to use to open it, and make sure you check "Always use this program to open this type of file."  Hope this helps, I'm not sure if this is what you're asking but if it is I'm right on the money :-P
