When i click on a picture link, nothing happens..help please?

Question

when i try to click on a picture link, such as when you go on google images and then click on the smaller icon to get the picture in its original context, my mouse just doesn't respond...the little hand doesn't come up to acknowledge that there is a link there or anything.

This only happens with picture hyperlinks, not with word ones.

(right clicking doesn't work either)

i'd be really grateful for any solutions?

try downloading an "adobe"reader,it's free .just search adobe and download.
