When i connect to my home page i get stopped with a message about internet security?

an internet antivirus screen always displays before i get to my home page asking me to download and register with them for a price. i use ca antivirus. how do i stop this from happening. it is getting very annoying.

Internet Antivirus is a new rogue anti-virus program that uses false information and aggressive tactics in order to scare people into purchasing it.

If you have this popping up you have malware .

It may just be that your homepage has popups on it's site to create revenue.

If you do not believe this to be the case, you may have spyware.  If you download "Spybot: Search & Destroy," "Super-Anti-Spyware," "Lavasoft Ad-Aware" or "Hijack This," which are all free, or have free  versions, you can use them to scan your system for spyware which embeds itself into Internet Explorer(or whatever spyware you might have), causing popups for advertisements.

Spyware-killing applications are very common advertisements, because just the fact that people get the popups makes them think they need the program.
