  1. Hello

    1) Connect Positive to Positive

    2) Connect from supply Negative to your engine earth, not the battery.

    3) Leave to charge your battery for 5 mins before attempting to start your car as it will start a lot easier.

  2. Some cars have electric circuits that don't like the jump leads on the battery so connect the positive terminal to both batteries, then connect the Other car negative to the battery and then connect your side of the jump lead to any part of NON moving engine.

  3. You most likely have it connected backwords.  Double check the battery for a + and a - the + should connect to red on your battery pack or jump leads and the - goes to black.  Do not trust the colors on thte battery leads, look at the battery markings.

  4. Either you have it backwards or your battery has a dead cell. When the cell is dead, it creates a short circuit.  I hooked up a jumper cable to a car with a dead cell and my cables actually got too hot to touch within 5-10 seconds.  Thats a clue too.  Under normal circumstances, the cables should still fee. cool through the cable when hooked up.

If the battery has a dead cell, then its history and time for a new one.

However, I didn't have sparks or smoke with the dead cell issue.  Now hooking it up backwards will give you a nice light show.

  5. Age of the Car? How Old is the battery? If the Battery is Swollen (Internally Shorted) it needs to be replaced. When you jump it's Black to Alternator Mount or any good Connection on the Block & Red to Red "When Ready to Start."

  6. time for a new battery.red tored black to black

  7. either its being hooked up wrong or y have dead cell in the battery,if that's the case throw this one out and replace it ,its no good if it shorts out when you try to charge it or boost it off, good luck.
