  1. A water conditioner like Prime is the best option.

It's mostly sodium thiosulphate, and it will react with any chlorine to form common salt (sodium chloride). Thats harmless to fish in small amounts, as are any other leftovers in the reaction.

So nothing actually gets removed, it's just rendered harmless by a chemical reaction.

  2. Water conditioner. You can buy it at any pet store.

  3. it is always best to age the water that is to be added this is basicly letting it sit for a couple days before useing it the main thing you need to add to the water is something that will remove chlorine and chlormaine I recomend doing this and ageing the water both

  4. I would say that you should do anywhere from 1/4, 1/3, or even 1/2 water change weekly depending on the size of your aquarium.  You should put 1 drop of tap water conditioner in for every gallon of water in your aquarium.  You can buy this at every petstore......HOPE THIS HELPS!!

  5. You could take a page from we Marine Aquarists and find a good source of Reverse Osmosis/Deionized (RO/DI) water to use for your changes and top off. Besides the benefits of not having Chlorine or Chloramine in RO/DI water to deal with, there is the added benefit of removal of Nitrate, Phosphate and Silicate that can lead to Algae breakouts in a tank.
