When i download a torrent and i open up the folder or play the movie all i get is sound

what do i do to get the picture?

Easy fix. Go to the store and buy the movie for $9-14. Walmart has great deals and you get a DVD with no picture problems. Amazon even has previously owned movies even cheaper!

you need the xvid plugin

go to their website and install it

You should get the free media player VLC.  It has most codecs installed within it and will play most anything downloaded.
