When i download limewire for my mac it doesnt work?

i had limewire before but after the installation process which was a long wait it just gives me an icon in the limewire folder that doesnt do anything....i don't know what is up.

I had the same trouble with my imac also. After doing some research, i discovered Frostwire. It looks the same, it is of better quality (no viruses) and it is the same price  FREE. So, even though macs should be virus free, limewire wont help.
