When i enquired abt seat avilablity from indian railways site I saw waiting list in this format: WL 135/WL 87?

What are these two number stand for, which one is considered as waiting number.

  1. 135 is what it started with and 87 is the current status


  2. i think WL- 135 is for berth...

    and WL- 87 is for RAC...

  3. The information appears to be wrong. better you contact some knowledgeable railway official.

  4. WL 135 is the quota of waiting list's & WL 87 is your waiting list number at the time of booking. So, your waiting list number is 87 & only this number has to be considered.

    WL 87 is current Waitlist......

    WL 135 is actual Waitlist if no one has cancelled the ticket since the tickets are issued....

    i.e 135 - 87 = 43 members have cancelled the ticket so far....

    Just forget abt WL135... WL 87 is what matters ultimately.....
