When i enter search former web pages come up. deleting all from tools will not help?

on yahoo search how do i delete the history i went to tools and deleted all but when ever i type in search,former web pages come up. i want to get rid of these

Yahoo clear search history is in your toolbar settings drop down.Will be the pencil icon or the avatar icon depends on your toolbar.

Try this.  Click on the little arrow to the right of the search box.  If you get a list of previous websites, place the mouse cursor over the top one, but don't click.  Now press the Delete key - the top one should disappear, and be replaced by the next one.  Don't move the cursor, just keep clicking on the Delete key until the list is all gone.  Now start your new search.  This should also work in Google and MSIE search boxes.  Simpler than trying to clear the History.
