When i first came out of Marine boot camp, i was stationed on a navy base. it was nice! it was paradise!.....

Question

i thought i had two good things going, being a Marine and being stationed on a navy base! nice barracks, nice furniture in them, a mess hall where seamen on mess duty bus your table, i loved it at little creek virginia. a year later, i had orders to go to camp lejeune, what a downgrade! sloppy quarters, nothing to do on base,welcome to a Marine base!! how many other Marines had such a rude awakening?

My buddy was there for most of his stick, he broke his back and they had him  guard trash cans.lol He was there so long he had his own room and  he stole a tv and a couch and had a good set up. He never did anything so he worked out and got huge. lol good luck

I had all my "A" and "C" schools on an Air Force base.  Believe me, a Navy base is a Motel 6 compared to a Ritz Carlton when you live on an Air Force base.

Lucky you. I got Ft Leonard Wood, MO, forst for AIT then permanent party..  Red clay and mud.
