When i give my parakeets and finch apple sholud i mash them up?

I usually cut the apple in half for my budgies.  Then I hang it from a food stick and they pick at it.  For the finches - you don't have a hook bill, I would chopp just a little bit of it finely.  Good luck to you and your birds!  :)

hmm. Good question!! I would probably have a little piece of the apple for them and had some of it mashed in one of their bowls. Idk much about birds but I would do this for them. Get some books on them too and make sure they have plenty of toys!!! They like to play with them. And they like baths too. Just fill your sink up with some warm or cool water and watch as they splash around!!!

No, there's no need to mash up the apple for them. It would obviously make the apple easier to eat if you did, but the birds will do just fine with the unmashed apple. =]
