When i have the money, i want to buy a bobcat and a hyster for my yard?

Do you think that's a good idea? I love driving them, and i am going to use the bobcat to get rid of all my grass so i don't need to mow it anymore.

doesn't seem to make good money since to buy things that cost that much when it seems u will have no further use from them my thought rent them do your job and save lots of money in the long run

Buster, I beg to differ with you about which is the best.  But to answer your question if you are only going to use it once it is a waste of money to buy them when they cost 35,000 dollars, 45k with tracks.  What you could to to take grass out is to rent a sod cutter which rents for about 80 dollars per day and cut the grass and rent a bobcat which rents for about 220 per day, do the work you need and return them.  Otherwise you are throwing your money away.

EDIT:  Well I still don't think its a good idea because of the cost.  If you're only going to use it recreationally then its not worth buying it.  For 35,000 dollars you could get a new car/truck.  There are plenty of other things to spend money on that you will use.

I have a son just like you... he's been uncontrollable since the first time he rented and used a Bobcat!..... it's a boys 'n toys thing, I think!.... does the word Tonka bring back good memories for you?... *smile*.....

shoot, go buy ya one.... you'll have the makings of a useful hobby there!... and folks will start calling you to do all kinds of neat jobs for them... HEY!... a money maker!!!

bobcat was the originator of the first skidstear but I'm afraid New holland or Case beats them hands down nowdays the LS series from NH is the best bang for your buck when it comes to skids, a hyster is a hyster, best in the buisness, but sounds to me your trying to kill a fly with a sledgehammer
