  1. I thought one is for incoming stuff (like microphones) and the other is for out (like headphones and speakers). Sounds to me like your putting it in the right spot. It's where I put my speakers in.

  2. Headphone will supply stereo for 1 speaker, unless you splice

the wires Correctly!!   Make sure your using the correct RCA

jacks in the back of the Receiver. ( Output )  there are usually

multiple outputs for speakers. Make sure you connect the right ones AND the Speaker selection switch on the front must match the back.  ie:  Speakers ( A ) or ( B) front & rear

    etc.

  3. Check your sound settings there should be an option for external speakers

  4. on my computer there is no such thing as a speaker jack so i always plug them into the headphones jack and they always work

  5. I noticed that my new computer speakers I bought for my laptop only work once I reset the media player. it happens each time I just plug them in while the song is already playing. it will play through the regular built in speaker but not the new ones, until I close it up and re open. hope I helped!

edit * the headphone jack makes for a tinnier sounding quality as far as I can remember, but I always just plug it in where it says, "speakers" and I plug headphones in where it says,

headphones" (or has a picture of them) and I plug a mic in where I see a picture of a mic. hmm!

  6. The headphone jack is the audio output, and the proper place to plug in the speakers. The microphone jack is for audio input.

  7. No, it will be exactly the same.
